What is Negotiation?

Negotiation is the discussion of terms of a agreement, and may involve direct or indirect contact ( through caucuses) between the disputing parties or their representatives.

It requires the parties’ willingness to communicate and usually their willingness to compromise. The parties control the process and the outcome.
