What is Arbitration?

Arbitration is a more formal process of dispute resolution where a third party neutral, agreed upon by the parties, hears and decides the outcome of a dispute. The arbitration is governed by rules stipulated to by the parties.

Each side makes a presentation of evidence to the arbitrator.  The arbitrator then makes a final and binding decision, based on the law, the submissions, and the evidence heard during the hearing. This decision can be enforced in court.
