Hon. Daniel M. Locallo, (Ret.) is a skilled mediator and arbitrator with extensive experience in the resolution of personal injury, premises liability, professional malpractice, nursing home and construction, and negligence matters. Judge Locallo is well known for his fairness and integrity. He has presided over more than 100 civil jury trials and over 100 criminal jury trials.

  • Yoder: $38 million verdict affirmed, where the main issue was whether or not settling parties were required to be on verdict form
  • LaSalle Bank: Defense verdict upheld; Judge refused to use the new professional negligence instruction, I.P.I. Civil 105.01
  • JAC Masonry: Construction case in which plaintiff alleged cost overruns and architectural misconduct
  • Lopez: Environmental hazard case in which plaintiff alleged use of diacytel in food flavoring caused pulmonary complications leading to the need for a lung transplant
  • Mobil Oil:  Environmental hazard case involving exposure to asbestos; summary judgment was granted to Mobil Oil based upon Statute of Repose applicable to construction
  • Aguirre: Verdict of $6.75 million affirmed for three plaintiffs who sued police for malicious prosecution
  • Gillespie: Directed Verdict for defendant in medical malpractice case upheld on the grounds that a physician/patient relationship had not been established
  • Lockhart: Verdict of $14 million in dart out case affirmed
  • Hernandez: Verdict for defendant in Structural Work Act case affirmed
