Hon. Paddy McNamara, (Ret.) is a former Cook County Circuit Court Judge and a senior mediator and arbitrator at ADR Systems. Judge McNamara presided over more than 300 jury trials in the Law Division. She has extensive motion practice experience with more than 10 years of calendar experience in personal injury and commercial matters. Judge McNamara is well known for her careful preparation and attention to detail.

  • 20-year judicial career in the Circuit Court of Cook County;  Commercial Calendar, Law Division 2002-2006; General Calendar H, Law Division, 1993-2002; Trial Judge, Law Division, 1987-1990; Motion Judge, Law Division, 1990-1992
  • 13-year legal career that includes Legal Assistance Foundation of Chicago, Better Government Association and solo law practice; member of the Trial Bar of the Northern District of Illinois; argued cases before the Seventh Circuit, Illinois Appellate Court and the Illinois Supreme Court; authored amici briefs filed before the United States Supreme Court; private practice focused on representing employees and employers in civil litigation; successfully lobbied bill prohibiting strip searches for minor traffic offenders through the General Assembly; successfully challenged the promotional system for librarians at the Chicago Public Library
