ADR Systems is pleased to announce that Hon. Lisa R. Curcio, (Ret.) will be presenting at the ABA Forum on Construction Law’s “Construction Law Essentials” program in Chicago from November 13th-14th.

Judge Curcio will present “Dispute Resolution, Remedies for Nonpayment and Statutes Impacting Construction,” a session that explores different forms of dispute resolution – including litigation, arbitration, mediation, dispute resolution boards and others – along with common payment disputes and the federal and state statues that frequently apply to construction projects and contracting.

Drawing on her extensive background in construction law, both as a former judge and in her current role as a senior mediator and arbitrator at ADR Systems, Judge Curcio brings invaluable perspective to this topic. She has presided over and resolved hundreds of construction-related disputes, giving her unique insight into the risks, complexities and solutions that lawyers and industry professionals encounter in this specialized area of law.

The ABA Forum on Construction Law’s “Construction Law Essentials” is a nationally recognized program that brings together leading construction industry professionals to provide practical training in the core concepts of construction law. The two-day program combines two of the forum’s most popular offerings – “Fundamentals of Construction Law” and “Sticks and Bricks”. It covers project participants, delivery systems and agreements, the bidding and construction process, insurance and bonding, government contracts and dispute resolution.

This program is an excellent training opportunity for lawyers and construction professionals at all levels to strengthen their knowledge, anticipate legal risks and sharpen their practice skills.

ADR Systems, It’s Settled.®

I think I speak for everyone when I say that we could not have settled this case without the tremendous efforts of Judge Brown. He was so kind to my clients and he really helped them through this difficult process.  His thoughtful approach and his incredible tenacity really made the difference in this case. We were very lucky to have him as our mediator and we look forward to working with Judge Brown again very soon.
