October 13 – 17, 2014 marks the fourth annual American Bar Association (ABA) Mediation Week.

ABA Mediation Week is a yearly initiative that takes place every third week of October in order to recognize and promote the ever-growing field of alternative dispute resolution.  The theme for this year is  “Stories Mediator’s Tell – From Rookie to Veteran, Exploring the Spectrum of Mediation,” a theme that will provide varying insights into what mediation is about, how to manage situations that may arise in mediation, and why mediation can be such a valuable tool to anyone involved in dispute resolution.

To celebrate Mediation Week, ADR Systems will be featuring posts that share inspirational stories and helpful advice from some of our senior mediators and arbitrators.  In addition, please feel free to ask us any questions that you may have about mediation or arbitration.  ADR Systems is always happy to share information regarding alternative dispute resolution. You can contact us at info@adrsystems.com or call us at 312.960.2260.

ADR Systems, It’s Settled.

Our mediation using videoconferencing was convenient and effective – we settled! Judge Casciato gained the party's trust and confidence while deftly guiding us through the negotiation process via a videoconference.  With the use of virtual breakout rooms, Judge Casciato was able to spend private time with everyone.  This remote mediation worked well for us and I would not hesitate to use it again.
