Hon. Philip L. Bronstein Speaks on Arbitration for Commercial Disputes

ADR Systems

News

ADR Systems’ senior mediator and arbitrator Hon. Philip L. Bronstein, (Ret.) will join a panel of distinguished speakers to discuss how lawyers and their business clients can capitalize on the unfulfilled potential of arbitration to resolve commercial disputes.

This panel will discuss how the advent of modern arbitration for commercial disputes began with much fanfare as a cost-effective dispute resolution process for business. However, despite some success that potential remains unfulfilled. The panel shares its international and U.S. arbitration experience to demonstrate how business can relate to arbitration through the use of a business-minded arbitration clause, which will result in a better-managed dispute resolution process. The discussion promotes, with some simple changes, the use of arbitration by business to resolve disputes as a flexible, cost effective process, in contrast to the public court system.

My mediation at ADR Systems proved to be extremely successful, thanks to the professionalism of our mediator.  Judge Kelley adeptly settled a very complex case involving serious injuries.  His patience, knowledge of the case, and considerate treatment of the parties involved all contributed to reaching a settlement that both sides found acceptable.  Kudos to Judge Kelley and ADR Systems for an experience I hope soon to repeat.
