Hon. Joseph N. Casciato, (Ret.), senior mediator and arbitrator at ADR Systems, has been named the 2021 Accipter Award recipient by the Fenwick Bar Association.

The Accipiter Award, presented annually by The Fenwick Bar Association since 1997, honors members of the Fenwick High School community who have distinguished themselves in the legal profession.

“It is an honor to be recognized by the Fenwick Bar Association,” said Judge Casciato. “The FBA  is a wonderful community where my classmates, friends and colleagues can come together as part of the Fenwick community to socialize and support each other. The Accipter Award has been bestowed on some of my distinguished colleagues and I am ecstatic to have received this recognition.”

Judge Casciato, who graduated from Fenwick in 1967, is the second ADR Systems neutral to receive the award, joining Hon. Daniel J. Kelley, (Ret.), who received the award in 2010.

Hayes, Jr., President of the Fenwick Bar Association, last year when Judge Casciato was notified that he would receive this honor. “Whether as a practicing lawyer, judge, mediator, or professor, he is highly respected by his peers for not only his professionalism and expertise on the law, but also for his empathy and fairness. The Fenwick Bar Association is honored to be a part of presenting him the Accipiter Award.”
