Kevin R. Sido, Esq., senior mediator and arbitrator at ADR Systems and partner at Hinshaw & Culbertson, LLP, has been recognized as the 2022 “Lawyer of the Year” in the field of Construction Law in Chicago.

His selection for the 2022 directory of Best Lawyers in America was announced on August 19. Attorney peers select only one lawyer per practice area and metropolitan area each year for this honor.

In addition to “Lawyer of the Year”, Mr. Sido was named a Best Lawyer in Construction Law, a ranking he has received since 2016.

Mr. Sido is a skilled senior mediator and arbitrator at ADR Systems. Mr. Sido focuses his practice in business and commercial disputes. He is an approved mediator for the Circuit Court of Cook County Court-Annexed Major Case Civil Mediation Program and a former arbitrator in that program.

For more than 40 years, Mr. Sido has practiced in litigation and as transactional counsel for design and construction professionals, condominium directors and officers, lawyers, and real estate professionals. He has practiced in all areas of construction law, including construction defect, contractual issues, professional liability, mechanics lien and construction accident matters. His practice also included insurance coverage analysis, policy drafting and broad aspects of a civil trial practice, such as worker injury lawsuits. Mr. Sido draws upon his many decades of experience as a trial lawyer, coverage lawyer, and transactional attorney in his service as a mediator and arbitrator.
