Brown to Speak at the 2015 Civil Court Practice Seminar

On February 19th, 2015, ADR Systems senior mediator and arbitrator, Hon. F. Keith Brown, (Ret.), will speak at the Kane County Bar Association (KCBA) Civil Practice Committee’s 2015 Civil Court Practice Seminar.  Judge Brown will discuss the topic of voir dire and jury selection.  Specifically, Judge Brown will offer best-practice tips for how attorneys can effectively conduct voir dire, from the judge’s perspective.  To illustrate his points, Judge Brown, along with Timothy Reuland, Esq. of Speers, Reuland & Cibulskis and Brian Hickey, Esq. of Cassiday Schade will conduct a mock jury selection as part of the presentation.  The KCBA Civil Practice Committee meets four times a year to discuss current issues in civil litigation, and is dedicated to promoting excellence in civil advocacy and the fair administration of justice.

Hon. F. Keith Brown, (Ret.), former Chief Judge of Kane County, has extensive experience in settling personal injury, workers’ compensation, and other civil matters. As a mediator, Judge Brown is known for his keen ability to easily connect with people and promote productive communications between all parties. In addition to more than 200 jury trials, he settled thousands of cases while on the bench. Judge Brown is a beloved pillar of the community, who has been recognized numerous times for his community service.
