On June 3rd, 2016, Hon. F. Keith Brown, (Ret.) will present at the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education’s (IICLE) program, “21st Century Advocacy: The Psychology of Persuasion.” This program will examine how attorneys can effectively incorporate persuasion tactics into their practice.  Judge Brown will speak specifically on the benefits of alternative dispute resolution and how attorneys can master the nuances of persuasion in mediation and arbitration to better advocate for their clients.  He will also explain how advocacy in mediation and arbitration differs from advocacy in litigation.

The program will take place from 8:30am-1:30pm at the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza.  Participants will receive 4.75 general CLE credits.

Hon. F. Keith Brown, (Ret.) is a senior mediator and arbitrator at ADR Systems.  Former Chief Judge of Kane County, Judge Brown has extensive experience in settling personal injury, workers’ compensation and commercial matters.  As a mediator, he is known for his keen ability to easily connect with people and promote productive communications between all parties.  Judge Brown is a beloved pillar of the community, who has been recognized numerous time for his community service.
