ADR Systems is pleased to announce Hon. Larry G. Axelrood, (Ret.) has joined our panel of senior mediators and arbitrators. Judge Axelrood served in the Law Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County for five of his 14 years on the bench and settled nearly 1,000 cases.

“One of my favorite responsibilities as a judge was doing pretrial settlements,” Judge Axelrood said. “Each case presents unique facts and a fresh opportunity to help people. It is especially rewarding to bring everybody together in a difficult case and find a path to settlement. I look forward to continuing this work as a neutral at ADR Systems.”

Judge Axelrood has extensive experience with medical malpractice, nursing home, railroad, legal malpractice, premises liability, construction and personal injury matters. Having served on the Evanston Police Pension Board and the Illinois Judges Association Pension and Benefits Committee, Judge Axelrood also has in-depth experience with pensions and their impact on various types of cases.

“Based on his excellent track record of resolving disputes during pretrials, I feel he will be able to take the next steps in his career as a mediator and arbitrator at ADR Systems,” said Marc Becker, president of ADR Systems.

Judge Axelrood reflects a dignified demeanor, yet he is warm and approachable. He is known for his ability to understand the interests of and easily connect with all parties.
